Pigwiggen

A Dartmoor Wood

Pigwiggen Wood is a hidden ten acre valley in the Dartmoor National Park. We are gently managing this special place, fostering biodiversity whilst honouring the spirit and tradition of British woodlands with their native trees, plants and fungi.

We believe that trees impart a feeling of peace, and that being in Pigwiggen, amidst the rustling of the leaves in the sunny glades and mossy dells chases away the strife of the world. We’re fascinated by traditional tree lore and the deep magic of celebrating the seasons and we love sharing this, so If you’d like to become involved in helping to re-enchant this lovely Dartmoor valley, you’re invited to sign up for our occasional volunteering days.

We love our volunteers and, besides the opportunity to explore the wood, you’ll be invited to join us for food, fire and (sometimes) music as a thank you for your hard work.
